This Summit focuses on adult athletes and their specific needs. This functional training program meets three days a week and targets triplanar strength, flexibility, injury prevention, cardiovascular fitness, and overall general conditioning in a group setting.

Join Tess Peters, DPT, PCS, Women's Health Physical Therapist, to learn pregnancy safe exercises with a focus on pelvic floor and deep core strengthening and engagement, how to coordinate breath with movement to prevent pain and injury during pregnancy, and how to prepare your body for labor, delivery, and early post-partum.

Jennifer Mills, Physical Therapy Assistant, will offer hydrotherapy to expecting mothers, with the goal of helping participants in managing symptoms like aches and pains commonly associated with pregnancy and to also improve sleep and fitness. This low impact exercise strengthens the pelvic floor by contracting and building the muscles. Pelvic floor strengthening can help prepare the body for childbirth.

Hammond-Henry Hospital is excited to be providing student/athletes with speed, agility, strength and conditioning programs. Our goal with this program is to improve athletic performance as well as decrease your chances for injury. Student-athletes can expect to see improvements in first step quickness, jumping ability, strength, speed, agility, explosive power, conditioning and overall improvement in movement efficiency.
