YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Note: This opportunity may be structured as either an employee position or an independent contractor role, depending on qualifications and preference. If you or someone you know may be interested, we’d love to connect and discuss class formats, scheduling, and compensation.

The Geneseo Park District is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Yoga Instructor to join our fitness team. We are open to a wide range of yoga styles and teaching approaches, and we welcome instructors who bring creativity, professionalism, and a passion for serving our community. We are especially interested in adding early morning or weekend class options, but we are also open to weekday availability depending on the instructor’s schedule.

We’re looking for: •

  • Experience teaching yoga in a group fitness or studio setting •
  • Ability to create a positive, welcoming environment for all skill levels •
  • Willingness to collaborate on scheduling and class development •
  • Reliability and strong communication •
  • Appropriate certification(s) for the yoga style(s) offered

ATHLETICS ASSISTANT

The Geneseo Park District is accepting applications for a part-time Athletics Assistant at the Geneseo Community Center. The Athletics Assistant will be responsible for all aspects of program implementation. This includes taking direction from the Athletics Lead, talking with patrons, teaching and reinforcing skills, and providing constructive feedback. The Athletics Assistant primary role is to instruct our patrons in a safe, effective, and positive manner. The following programs have Athletic Assistants: Soccer, Golf, Tennis, Running, Pickleball, Basketball, Volleyball, Flag Football, Track & Field and other athletic programs as assigned.

The Athletics Assistant is a part-time position working under 2 - 5 hours per week. This is a part-time classification II hourly position starting at $15.00 / hour.


GYMNASTICS ASSISTANT

The Geneseo Park District is accepting applications for a part-time Gymnastics Assistant at the Geneseo Community Center. The Gymnastics Assistant is responsible for providing leadership assistance for participants of all ages. The Gymnastics Assistant is responsible for performing the duties as outlined in this analysis. They assist the Gymnastics Instructor with a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 25 participants. Work is performed at a self-controlled pace but may vary depending on the demands of the job required.

The Gymnastics Assistant Instructor is a part time employee working under 20 hours a week. This is a part-time classification II hourly position starting at $15.00 / hour.
