Established in 1924 Central Theater, formerly known as 'The Geneseo Theater', has been a mainstay in downtown Geneseo for over 80 years.
Operated by the Geneseo Park District since 1996, this historic theater continues to offer state of the art entertainment at an affordable price.
The theater seats 177 and offers digital cinema projection with 7.1 Dolby surround sound. The digital conversion in 2012 means a higher quality motion picture and sound experience for the moviegoer.

Synopsis: Terrier Max is coping with some major life changes. His owner is now married and has a toddler, Liam. Max is so worried about protecting the boy that he develops a nervous tic. On a family trip to a farm, Max and mutt Duke encounter canine-intolerant cows, hostile foxes and a terrifying turkey, all of which only elevates Max’s anxiety. Luckily, Max gets some guidance from veteran farm dog Rooster, who pushes Max to find his inner alpha.

The theater has a stage (great for speaking engagements), a large screen (high resolution to display your presentation, home movie, DVD or current film), comfortable seating (enough for 177 friends, family or business associates) and surround sound. Excellent movie theater popcorn, candy and fountain drinks are available for purchase during your next event.

Standard Rental includes the use of theater and stage with a manager on duty. Renter can bring a DVD or video (of appropriate content). Private viewing of current film is available. Minimum of 50 people required, regular admission and concession rates will apply.
