Founded in 2004, the Lewis & Clark Circus has entertained children of all ages across the United States. The audience will enjoy watching world-class circus artists from the comfort of chairs instead of bleachers. The show takes place on a custom-built stage, complete with theatrical lighting.
This year’s performances include returning audience favorites and several acts that are making their US debut. Brazil’s Clown Prince of Laughter, Grillo the Great, will return with his mix of comedy and magic. Also returning this year is the Lewis & Clark Aerial Ballet which will be performed twenty feet in the air.
New this year will be displays of fast paced juggling, spine-bending contortion, and extreme balance acts. Guaranteed to be a hit with the audience, is our master of balance who will stack twelve chairs on top of each other creating a leaning tower of chairs that he will then perform a series of hand stands on.
Guests are invited to come one-hour early to enjoy gourmet circus treats such as cotton candy, popcorn, and nachos. Kids (and adults) can also get their face painted before the show.

Yes, you can! The onsite box office is open 1-hour prior to show time. We do, however, recommend purchasing your tickets in advance for the best discount prices.
Children aged 3 to 12 require a child’s ticket. There is no charge for infants up to 24 months.
Each show is 90 minutes
Tickets are NOT refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may pass your tickets along to a friend or family member.
The show will go on! The performance is under a big top.
The show always goes on unless there is a danger to the public in attendance. We will attempt to notify customers via our website and social media pages of any changes.
Identify yourself to our box office personnel and they will happily assist you to an appropriate seating area. If you will need special seating, please come early if possible (30-minutes prior to showtime).
The Circus will be held at the Athletic Field's Football Field (407 E. North St.)

Explore, Learn and Conserve... Join the Park District for an outdoor event that combines a hike with engaging educational learning opportunities. This event will cover basic outdoor educational information such as fire starting, items to pack for a day hike, plant identification, and discussions on how we can help preserve our local natural spaces.
