Forever Fit: This class is designed for the age group of 65 and up with intent to focus on core strength,

balance, flexibility, and strength training. The emphasis of this class is to build endurance to enjoy an

independent lifestyle.

 

Smart Start: This class is designed for the age group of 45 - 65 to incorporate low impact aerobic

exercises with balance, strength and flexibility fitness concepts.

 

Lengthen & Strengthen Yoga: An all levels class where Iyengar yoga techniques will combine postures,

breathing, promote strength, flexibility, stamina, balance, and deep relaxation of the mind and body.

Class will not be offered in August.


Yoga For Life: Get back to the basics for health, life and flexibility. Iyengar yoga is positive for all ages.

 

Exercise and Diabetes: Class outline will consist of specially designed fitness exercises to combat the

affects that Type II Diabetes has on the body. Exercise has been found to be the key component against

diabetes by eliminating risk factors that arise from it.


Blood Pressure Screening:
Monthly appointments are made with a personal trainer to screen for

abnormal blood pressure readings.

Cost: Free for Members $10 Resident/$20 Non-Resident

 

Cholesterol Screening: Consist of Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and Triglyceride screenings.

Results will be compared to the American Heart Association guidelines. Must fast 12 hours prior to

testing. Screenings will be conducted on Friday, June 27, July 25 or August 29,

15 minute appointments from 7:00 - 8:00 am.

Cost: $25.00 for Members $50 Resident/$75 Non-Resident

 

Joints In Motion

Increases range of motion at the joints in order to improve posture, balance and mobility.

Day/Time:

Monday/Wednesday

Just My Speed

A low intensity, low impact workout. This class incorporates movement with basic strengthening,

toning, trunk stabilization and balance exercises.

Day: Tuesday/Thursday

Time: 1:00 - 2:00 pm

Wet N Wild

Moderate intensity exercises will improve aerobic conditioning as well as increase muscular strength,

endurance, flexibility and range of motion.

Day: Monday/Thursday

Time: 7:30 - 8:30 am

 

Oh My Aching Back

Work toward maintaining a healthy back in the safest place to be - the water! An aquatic therapy class

that will address spine flexibility and strength. Participants will focus on posture, pelvic tilt and spine

length through various exercises, including stretching.

Session: Monthly

Day: Tuesday/Friday

Time: 8:00 - 9:00 am

Arthritic Aqua Therapy

Jackie Beach, Aquatic Supervisor, is certified through the Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute.

Jackie provides individuals with Arthritis a special class that focuses on the joints. Exercises taught

in this class will help individuals strengthen their muscles and move better through their daily activities.

Session: Monthly

Age: 12 years and up

Day: Monday/Wednesday

Time: 1:00 – 2:00 pm
