2012 promises to be an exciting year for the Geneseo Park District. Work continues toward achieving the status of an Illinois Distinguished Park and Recreation Accredited Agency. Geneseo Park District 2011 Goals Summary

In the fall of 2010, the Geneseo Park District launched a comprehensive park and recreation needs assessment to begin the process of updating our Master Plan.  To maximize community input, we secured the help of Leisure Vision, a recreational assessment consultant.   A survey was developed based on feedback from public focus groups and stakeholder interviews that were held in November of 2010. SURVEY RESULTS

The Board of Park Commissioners and the staff will use this information to support short term strategic decision-making and long-range planning as we develop the Master Plan.  We are committed to serving the community through our programs and facilities.  As we continue to develop the Master Plan, our mission is to enhance the quality of life in our community by providing a positive recreational experience for all.
