Geneseo Development and Growth, Inc.

Growth was established in 1974 to provide quality child care for the Geneseo community. Due to an extensive waiting list and no room to grow , Growth contacted the Park District who offered land adjacent to the Community Center on which to build a child care center. The Park District saw child care as a natural extension of the programs they already offered. The facility was completed on March 4, 1991. Growth is a not-for-profit child care center licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services to care for 154 children. Children enrolled in the program range in age from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. Growth’s program is designed to offer children a warm and nurturing environment in which they are able to learn, grow, and feel good about themselves.
